About
The Monks’ Black Time (1966) is a raw, aggressive garage rock classic, ahead of its time with its proto-punk energy. The Monks, five American GIs stationed in Germany, created a unique sound with pounding rhythms, fuzzed-out guitar, and confrontational lyrics. This pressing on Polydor Records (Germany) is extremely rare. With its dark, rebellious tone and experimental edge, Black Time remains an underground gem, influencing punk and post-punk decades later. A true collector’s piece!
