Very Good +
The vinyl is very good in general.
A few faults are acceptable, but nothing that really compromises the record visually or audibly.
This is a first press. The record shows signs of been played but is a very clean copy. Include the original inlay.

The Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers (1971) marked a new era for the band, being their first album released on their own label. Packed with bluesy swagger and raw energy, it features classics like Brown Sugar, Wild Horses, and Can't You Hear Me Knocking. The original UK first pressing is a top loader, meaning the record is inserted from the top instead of the side.

Its working zipper cover, designed by Andy Warhol, was a bold and controversial statement. Inside, the inlay and iconic “John Pasche” tongue logo add to its historic value. A well-preserved copy with all elements intact is a collector’s dream, showcasing the Stones at their peak.

The first UK edition does not have the inscription “A Promotone N.V. RECORD” on labels. Promotone company was founded only a few months later in September 1971 (Amsterdam, Netherlands), while the album "Sticky Fingers" was released in April 1971.

The zipper on the front cover is completely blank with 2 indented lines.
This kind of zip is made of far higher quality metal than the usual ones and is easy to spot & date - when compared to similar clothing zips made in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
It is a very early made one. The A3/B3 matrix is the lower known matrix for this release.

The sleeve opened at both the top and bottom. After jeans with a real metal zipper on the front that unzips to reveal a man in cotton briefs.
The set contains also an insert with a pic of the Band on one side and credits & lyrics on the other side.
Insert says "Printed in England by Richard Davis Ltd."
The runouts are stamped except for "T.M.L. ROLLING STONES RECORDS" which is etched.
